Selenite

Selenite is a hydrous calcium sulfate mineral with a hardness of 2. It is a form of Gypsum and is called Selenite if it is relatively clear and well form. Selenite is formed as in evaporated clay beds and around hot springs. The crystals have the property of being soft and flexible. Selenite can be colourless, gray, white, green or golden brown.

Selenite is found in many countries including Australia, Greece, Mexico and USA.

Selenite crystals are well-known to have the metaphysical properties of clearing negative energies and bringing in the light energy. Selenite grids are often used to protect one’s home or working area. Selenite can also be used in conjunction with Feng Shui theory to transmute negative “sha” energies and bringing in peaceful and calming light energy.

Selenite can also be used to gently open any chakras and sooths the etheral body before any healing sessions.

According to the references, Selenite is also believed to have the following metaphysical properties:

  • Quickly activates the third eye, crown and Soul Star chakras
  • Cleansing the auric field and clearing congested energies or negativity from one’s physical and etheric body.
  • Unlock the doorway to the etheric charkras.
  • Carry One’s intentions and thoughts to the Higher self and beyond.
  • Stimulates the emotional body and compels one to move forward with one’s life.
  • Overcoming stagnation and prevents one from falling into the illusions of ‘security’ and ‘comfort’.
  • Provides for clarity of the mind, expanding ones awareness of the self and ones surroundings
  • Used to provide both flexibility to ones nature and strength to ones decisions
  • Used to align the spinal column and promotes flexibility within the muscular structure.
  • Used to direct high-frequency energy into the body; stimulating physical healing.
